Alan is married with a young family. He has been involved with the GAA at all levels throughout his life. Alan comes with the experience of a development background as well as being a founding member of Gaelic Rules Advice.

“I decided to found the Gaelic Match Officials Association in response to a number of referee enquires to Gaelic Rules Advice seeking advice on such matters as appealing punishments that were felt to be too lenient as well as assistance with the preparation of motions for county conventions.”

I hope to help bring about huge changes to the way people view match officials and to help change the attitudes of both players and supporters towards match officials. We hope to bring about great improvement to the welfare of all match officials throughout the country.
